MOVIES

HERE'S A FEW OF MY FAVORITE MOVIES

If you havn't seen them yet, maybe check them out one boring weekend when every one of your friends decide to go out on a date with Fabio !

Now you can tell what I do during my weekends, specially winter when the streets are cold and wet -- and I meant watching movies. Good for you if you have someone warm and cuddly to go out with or to share the sofa and popcorn, otherwise you are stuck with a bottle of scotch or whatever, a computer and a modem. What do you do? Surf the net and maybe attempt to expand your horizons and get enlightened and bedazzled with the free form of information now available online. Although still some of us are inclined to socialize (the animals that we are) and press that button that says "CHAT". You'll never know, you can actually meet Tupac or Elvis online, next thing you know you are doing some virtual interaction of some kind I'd rather not talk about. If you have a partner, you can run into some really deep shit. Really now, how many stories have you heard about couples separating, people marrying, broken hearts, love affairs only made possible by "the generation" technologly called e communication? Bla bla bla My point is, take my advice and give that modem a break.

Get some microwave popcorn, your favorite ice cream, try cookie cream commotion, 2L bottle of coke, nachos with heaps of cream and guacamole, a warm doona and one of these movies:

SPACE ODDESEY - Sci Fi - written by Arthur C Clark

DUSK TILL DAWN - A Quentin Tarantino thriller/action with a twist -and I mean

a real twist. Stars Juliet Lewis, Cheech Marin, George

Clooney, Harvey Keitel and Tarantino himself.

FOUR ROOMS - Another Tarantino movie starring one of my favorites

Tim Roth. A funny clever movie about a bell boy working

working lone on new years eve and his encounters with bizzare guests.

GRIDLOCK'D - Life is a traffic jam, stars Tupac Shakur and Tim Roth.

A funny movie about getting clean. It's not easy!

DEAD POET'S SOCIETY - Robin Williams stars in this very emotional movie

about a professor who captures the poets within. Watch

this only if you are in a pretty soppy mood.

LABYRINTH - My all time fave - Fantasy which stars the weird David

Bowie and Jennifer Conelly.

BARAKA - A cinemagraphic piece on the world in time. A visual

Oddesey filmed in 27 different countries, great movie

to watch during those peaceful vegetative weekends

THE GAME - Michael Douglas and Sean Penn. "What do you get for

the man who has everything?" Find out, this movie is

sure to get you guessing.

CONTACT - This movie is based on the book by Carl Sagan and

Ann Druyan. A Sci Fi that will take you to a journey

beyond our doubts and belief. Stars Jodi Foster.

SLIDING DOORS - A brilliant movie about a couple separated by a few

minutes and how both sides unfold in a clever emotional

ending. Stars Gwyneth Poltrov in her best English accent.
